This piece is a cover adaptation based on an existing work: The Song of the Sand and the Sea. The story follows a modern woman transported to ancient Egypt who falls in love with a pharaoh, separated by three thousand years. What moved me was the particular sorrow it contains: two people who love each other yet are irrevocably divided by time. This dislocation cannot be bridged, no matter how deep their love.

What I wanted to capture within the cover is this helplessness of mutual yet impossible love. Though the story belongs to another creator, I interpreted its emotion in my own way: a love that draws close while knowing it cannot last, shadowed by inescapable fate. I wanted the image to be at once opulent and mournful, like a gilded dream destined to end in waking. What is original here is not the narrative but the visual interpretation of sorrow spanning across ages.
